6 Beauty Brands in India stepping up their Game in 2017

She has very kindly put together an article for you all which notes few Beauty Brands in India that are really stepping up their Beauty Game and coming up with fantastic products, amazing formulations and have totally been a game changer this year.
We’ve all been wired to look at the popular things by default – whether it is in books, movies or even in our choice of brands. When it comes to makeup, brands like Kylie Cosmetics, Huda Beauty and MAC have been ruling the scene and now Kim Kardashian West cosmetics are also here. While these brands maybe minting out innovative products that everyone loves to get their hands on, we ought to look homeward as well for some amazing products.
The following brands are homegrown and have been doing an amazing job coming up with innovative and on-trend products with mesmerizing packaging to boot. Whether it is Sugar Cosmetics Lipstick in That 70s Red or my favorite Colorbar Lipstick in Fuschia Fix, there are many makeup and skincare products from Indian brands that are worth all our attention.

I was so taken with the visual appeal of the Sugar Cosmetics products that I initially assumed it was an international brand that was recently introduced in India. While they only have a limited range of products, they are growing everyday and each of their new products are garnering rave reviews.

Matte as hell crayon lipstick in Holly Golightly – A lovely fresh nude pink shade that is reminiscent of the character’s lipstick in the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

It’s a pout time! Vivid lipstick in 10 True Oxblood - The lipstick has a silky texture and is the perfect shade for those wanting to try out the currently popular vampy colors. P.S. Personally, I think the brand deserves extra points for fun (and punny!) product and shade names as well as for the pretty packaging.

It is one of the very few brands from India that follow the international model of selling eye shadows by the pan. With their no nonsense sturdy packaging and amazing payoff with each product, Nykaa products are loved for being a reliable purchase every time. While the makeup range is more popular, the brand also has a collection of bath and body products.

While the brand may go by the name of Colorbar “USA”, it is also a homegrown brand. It was one of the first brands to be introduced in Indian cosmetic shops other than the usual Lakme, L’Oreal, Revlon, Maybelline and Chambor.
