It is important knowledge, principles of makeup artistry and it is important content. A very important skin type is combination skin and many have this combination skin type. In a profession like this, we have analyzed combination skin for a lot of people. It is tricky to work on combination skin. We are here today with some makeup tips and tricks for combination skin type.

So firstly, what is combination skin? Some part of the face is dry and some other part will be oily. This area is called the T- Zone area. T- Zone area will be generally oily because here oil glands are more and have more oil production. Sebaceous glands will be active here. We will be having pores in these areas. Enlarged, quite open pores will be seen in this area. It can be seen pit like holes because pores which are hair follicles will be filled with oil content. Hence the visibility increases. People with combination skin will have enlarged pores, open pores, and T- zone will be oily too. However, the outer perimeter of the face, the edge of the nose and these areas will be generally dry, Those people will have a feel of tightening in these areas when they wash their face. A feeling of the tug will be there. Those people have combination skin. But not everyone will have oily T- Zone and dry outer perimeter. Very few people, rarely, we find but seldom people will have the opposite. In rare circumstances, there are people with dry T- zone and oily outer perimeter of the face.

There are some important things to be careful about when they put makeup. Their skin has to be analyzed. Where do they get oily and where do they get dry. The makeup artists should be careful about where do they get oily and where do they get dry. Another important tip is when we put the primer.

It is very important that the primer must not be applied everywhere. Don't put the primer in the dry areas especially, silicon primers and mattify primers. We should apply primer only those areas where it becomes oily and avoid the dry areas. Silicon-based primers are transparent siliconic texture and it will be greasy. It is also tackiness. If we put foundation on top of this, we get a smooth surface and also foundation will look matte. Wherever it becomes oily, apply this primer that area only. Avoid applying in the dry area.

Next, a very important tip when you apply makeup on a combination skin is the foundation finish. Don't make it too matte. Don't make it too oily. What happens is that, when you make it too matte, it becomes dry in everywhere because some areas are dry, not oily. When you apply matte foundation, these areas become drier and will start peeling off after some time. However, if you were too oily and dewy finish, the oily content will be high and shine too. It will look like you had a bath in the oil after some time.

So ensure that your foundation is too matte and not too dewy. You should always apply a moderate type of foundation. You have to go for a satin finish. There are other words for a satin finish. You also call it velvet finish foundation, natural finish foundation, skin finish foundation, semi-matte foundation, demi-matte foundation. It has lots of names like this but all their purpose is the same. It is called satin finish where neither too matte nor too oily. This type of Foundation should be always applied for people with combination skin. The peculiarity for the satin finish is that it won't be too dry and not too oily.

But after applying it and around in the afternoon, some parts of the face will become oily. The next tip is when you get oily, don't apply powder on it. Don't use any kind of powders. For people with combination skin don't use powder and ensure that you blot it. Buy some blotting sheets and just blot and remove the oils. Don't apply powder on it because after some time it will bring a dullness on the face. In makeup artistry, we call it as Oxidising. So to avoid oxidizing. A dullness or tiredness on the face. So avoid using too much powders on top and start incorporating more blotting sheets. We believe these tips are helpful to you. It's the combination skin and most people do have this skin type.
