CLIENT DIARIES: Very simple, neutral matte makeup look

One of the one of the most enterprising Women Entrepreneurs from Kerala, Jeemol, who owns the most delicious and yummiest Eva's Healthy Bakes , came over to our studio to get a look for an event from our Creative Head, Lekshmi Menon

One of the primary things you can notice is that the foundation we have used matches Jee's neck very well and has totally evened her complexion rather than lightening or whitening. We incorporated very simple eyes and a very simple nude lip as well as per her brief rather than going too bold with colours. These simple looks are apt if you wish to go for a traditional family gathering or even a corporate event whereby we avoid using too many shimmery products but give you HD makeup without looking too heavy or cakey.

Jee has natural warm undertone in her complexion and has quite dry and dehydrated skin so we had really prepped her skin however, we kept the look quite matte as she wanted to keep it very Neutral and avoided too many shimmers. We also avoided applying kajal on her lower lash line to avoid smudging and creasing throughout the day rather we smudged a bit of brown along just to amp up the eye. To bring out the warm elements in her complexion, we used burnt orange and warm browns in her lid and filled her eyebrows very naturally as well without overpowering the entire look. Since Jee was more comfortable to wear Neutral lips, we ensured we gave her a Neutral lip colour as well rather than going too bold. We loved having you in our studio Jeemol
